Two’s AZA welcomed alumni from the 1970s for a chapter barbecue Aug. 3, in Overland Park. Thirteen current Two’s members attended the program, as well as Two’s alumni Steve Carr, Jeff Seligson, Eric Jacobson, Ed Klein, and 1975-76 sweetheart Joyce (Benjamin) Pack. The 70s alumni were in town for a Shawnee Mission South High School reunion.
Alumni shared stories from their days in BBYO, offered some great advice for the current teens and fielded questions from the chapter. The alumni presented the chapter with an old red and green Two’s flag inspired by The Godfather, with the chapter motto: “The Organization.”
Also in attendance was Class of 1998 alumnus Zach Bassin, who shared with the chapter the origin story of Marty Ball, the Two’s mascot (an 80-pound ball of tape).
