Kansas City AZA # 2 (also known “Two’s”) is the second oldest chapter in the Grand Order of the Aleph Zadik Aleph, a youth-led fraternal organization of Jewish teens. On Sept. 1, 1923, members of Omaha’s “Mother Chapter” initiated the first class of Two’s Alephs. Kansas City chemist Nathan Mnookin was the chapter’s first advisor. The group was initially sponsored by Kansas City Lodge 184 of B’nai B’rith. The group was offcially chartered as Kansas City AZA #2 on May 10, 1924. In 1925, AZA was adopted by B’nai B’rith as its official youth program.

We believe that protecting our environment is a moral obligation, rooted in the core Jewish value of pikuach nefesh — the sacred duty to save lives. This principle calls on us to protect the environment, ensuring that our actions today do not compromise the health and well-being of future generations.
