Two’s AZA kicked off the year with a chapter overnight Aug. 16-17 at Lake Viking, Mo. In all, 24 members attended the kickoff.

With temperature in the mid 90s, Alephs cooled off with swimming and other water activities in beautiful Lake Viking, located about 70 miles northeast of Kansas City. In the evening, the chapter held a Havdallah service, followed by chapter inductions. The board installed 12 new members during a ceremony around the camp fire. The new inductees, part of the Corral class, are: Avram Bradhurst, Danny Hertzfield, Ben Kheyfets, Shia Kolb, Rhys Pabst, Ben Rosenthal, Cameron Sablin, Garett Van Buskirk, Jake Williams, Gus Zitron and Zander Zugelder. Other A.I.T.’s who could not attend the ceremony include: Andrew Burns, Thomas Burns, Adam Kheyfets, Jacob LaRoque, Jaxson Rosenberg, Jake Sosland, Malachi Sosnoff, Elliot Spizman, Daniel Weisberg and Tyler Weiss.

During a chapter Business Meeting held the following morning, Aleph Danny Martin made a motion to ratify the chapter constitution, which passed by a vote of 21-2.

“Chapter constitutions have always been a foundational piece of how our beautiful democracy runs, dating back to 1923 when our chapter was formed, and is a description for how a chapter should govern,” says Two’s advisor David Wexler.
