Some BBYO members donated their B’nai Tzedek grants to Kansas City BBYO, Inc. B’nai Tzedek (“children of justice”) teaches one about the value and rewards of philanthropy and provides a way to give and become involved with local Jewish and Israeli organizations.
Youngers contribute money from their Bar/Bat Mitzvah gifts, and the Jewish Community Foundation matches their gifts.
Donations came from the following AZA #2 members through the B’nai Tzedek Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City: Jordan Pollack, Michael Portnoy, Morgan Sonnenschein and Jacob Lipsman.
The donations will be placed in the Morton E. Rabin Scholarship Fund. This Fund provides financial aid to help members attend BBYO programs.
