Friday, March 27, is International A.Z.A. Day. Locally, it will be observed by chapters 2, 22 and 200 with special Friday night services conducted by members of the organization.

The Alephs of Chapter 2 will hold their services at the Sherith Israel D’lubawitz synagogue, Ninth and Olive streets, at 8 p.m. Morris Lerner will officiate as cantor, leading a choir composed of A.Z.A. members. Alephs will participate in all phases of the services. The public is invited…

The three local chapters are jointly sponsoring a talk to be given here Monday, March 30, by Allen Cushing, a young A.Z.A. alumnus  of Boston who has been traveling through Palestine and Europe for the last two years. Cushing will speak at 8 p.m. at Ohev Sholom synagogue, Seventh and Sandusky. His topic is “Adventures in Europe and Palestine.

A religious-cultural meeting was held with Gan Dafna BBG at the home of Richie Silbiger, to discuss poverty in Kansas City and the world.

The sweetheart dance, honoring Marilyn Friedman, will be held April 3, at the Landmark at the Union Station. Tom Wayne, recording secretary, is up for beau of Gan Dafna BBG.
