Kansas City was well represented at the recent B’nai B’rith Youth Organization inter-regional convention held in St. Louis. Eighty-one of the 190 teenagers were from here, and local chapters walked off with most of the awards, winning a multitude of honors, including a half dozen for first place.

First place awards were: AZA #2 for religious programming, Nordaunian AZA for community service and HST for best skit. AZA #2 was voted the most improved chapter of the year.

Jaynie Schultz, BBYO direcrtor, and Adam Petrovsky, AZA #2 adviser, were in attendance.

“It was a joy for us to witness the ruach and energy generated by this active bunch of BBYOers,” Schultz staid. “They were electrifying in their dedication to the goals and objectives of our organization.”
