Fifteen Two’s alephs attended Mid-America Region’s Fall Regional Convention from Nov. 7-9, in Clayton, Missouri. This year’s theme was “MAR Wars” and was attended by a total of 148 BBYOers from Omaha, Kansas City, Minnesota, Iowa and St. Louis.
The convention was highlighted by Two’s 17-13 win over Ochos in the first round of the FRC 2025 AZAA Basketball Tournament. Freshman Gus Zitron was the leading scorer for Two’s, while junior Judah Bassin was the top rebounder. In the second round of the tournament, Esperanto AZA defeated Two’s 33-10. Two starters were: Zitron, Bassin, sophomore Jake Sosland, junior Will Widman and senior Eli Nathan. Freshman Danny Hertzfield and Elliott Spizman contributed off the bench.
Nordaunian AZA No. 22 won the championship, defeating Esperanto 22-21 despite a feverish comeback by Esperanto. Nordau junior Naftali Tilove was named MVP of the tournament. The All-Tournament team was: Tilove, Nordaunian; Jacob Shifrin, Esperanto; Cory Nogg, Mother Chapter; Gus Zitron, Two’s AZA.
Two’s held successful “Two’s Tuck-ins” both nights of FRC, raising nearly $100 for the International Service Fund (ISF). On Saturday night, attendees enjoyed some jumping at the Sky Zone trampoline park. On Saturday, Two’s published the first issue of the year of the chapter newspaper, The Rolling Paper.
