News about BBYO
Ed Bigus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bigus, won the AZA international oratory prize last month at the International Convention held in Starlight, Pa. Among his competition were seven contestants from North America, and one from Israel. The topic of the oration was: “And thou shalt teach them diligently.”
Before competing on the international level, Ed had to compete first and win city, regional and district competitions. He is currently serving as vice president of Mo-Kan Regional AZA. He is the chairman of this year’s Yom Kippur Dance, and is a past president of Kansas City AZA #2.
Kansas City BBYO, co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Center and B’nai B’rith, also sent Sheila Katz, Jennifer Bordy, Kenny Weiner, Glenn Lowenstein and Mark Perlman to the international convention.
