A scholarship honoring the memory of Brad Weiner has been established to benefit BBYO teenagers. The scholarship, established by Brad’s parents, Joni and Larry Weiner, will make funds available for Israel Summer Institute, BBYO’s national pilgrimage to Israel. The Weiners contributed the seed money for the fund, which will provide financial assistance to ISI participants. The scholarship fund is seen as an appropriate way of memorializing Brad, for besides being involved in his BBYO chapter (AZA #2), he was deeply affected by the ISI trip to Israel taken during the summer before his accidental death, BBYO officials stated. Those wishing to contribute may contact the BBYO office. Specially designed tribute cards are available. The price is $2.50 a card or $10 for a packet of five cards, available through the BBYO office.
