The last regular meeting of the Order of AZA was held Sunday afternoon, April 5. Latest reports show that over 250 brother fraternity members will attend our convention here July 5, 6 and 7. Maurice Sagaloff and Joseph Rosenzweig were voted into the Order… Saturday night, Mr. Morris Sogolow was the guest of the fraternity at its monthly banquet. Mr. Sogolow was presented a gift in appreciation for the work and aid he gave the local chapter’s basketball team in winning the national AZA basketball championship… Monday night, April 6, the chapter presented a program in conjunction with the B’nai B’rith meeting. … The chapter will present its ritual and initiation before the local B’nai B’rith lodge in the near future. … Tuesday evening, April 7, five members of the AZA were present at the Goldman basketball team banquet. The members of the AZA team on the Goldman team are: Julius Peltzman, Isadore Pesmen, Harry Kaufman, Joseph Rosenzweig and Sidney Magazine…. The next regular meeting will be held Sunday, April 19, at 3:00 p.m., at the YMYWA building. Many prominent B’nai B’rith members will be the guests of the chapter that afternoon. All members are urged to attend. The B’nai B’rith has taken a deep interest in the young Jewish men of today. It realizes that the future of the Order depends upon the development of the young men, and expects to draw many of its future members from this group. For this reason, the Order will sponsor the AZA. The young men will probably retain their identity, but the B’nai B’rith hopes and expects them to join its forces when they arrive at the age of maturity.
