Giving Day BBYO

On Dec. 3, Two’s took part in Giving Day BBYO, BBYO’s yearly day of giving. BBYO raised more than $1 million in donations, marking the first time it has hit this goal in its history. Kansas City Council raised over $18,000, exceeding its goal of $16,000. For Two’s, junior Michael Furey raised the most with $512.50, followed by Eli Nathan, Judah Bassin, Jack Bassin and Bryan Persky. The funds raised during this event go directly to local BBYO regions to help support everything from regional programs and conventions to scholarships for summer experiences and International Convention.

Saadia nominates Beau candidates

Saadia BBG has selected five Two’s AZA Alephs as their new Beau candidates. They are: Shaefer Spizman, Judah Bassin, Sam Hochler, Danny Martin and Eli Nathan. Senior Bryan Persky was named an honorary candidate. After a sleepover on Dec. 14, the Saadia girls woke up the new candidates and took them out to breakfast at First Watch.

Bassin on top

Two’s Aleph Sopher Judah Bassin won all four of his wrestling matches — all by pinfall — at a junior varsity tournament on Dec. 7, at Olathe East High School. Bassin is a sophomore at Rockhurst High School.

Spizman state bound

Two’s S’gan Shaefer Spizman recently finished third in the Lawrence Free State Regional (4-Speaker) KSHSAA Debate Tournament, qualifying him for state. Spizman is a sophomore at Shawnee Mission South High School.

Kramer qualify for state

Two’s freshman Micah Kramer recently finished 13th in the East Central Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) District competition, which has qualified him for the state level. Kramer plays the cello. In high school debate,

Chiefs Watch Party

On Nov. 17, Two’s held a Chiefs Watch Party at the home of Micah Kramer. Ten Two’s Alephs attended the event: Jason Persky, Eli Nathan, Michael Furey, Beckett Hodes, Josh Snitz, Will Widman, Rex Hebbed, Judah Bassin, Micah Kramer and Tyler Weiss. Unfortunately, the Chiefs lost to the Buffalo Bills 30-21.
